Jessica Eaton

I have decided to look at Jessica Eatons work because it looks into the ideas of illusion and perspective, her work is quite abstract and very patterned based however I think it could help to influence my work in some way. Her work reminds me of a kaleidoscope, I have perviously tried to make repeat patterns out of landscapes and these turned out looking similar to a kaleidoscope.

I find her work mesmerising and I could look at it for hours always finding something new in the image, her work is all done physically by placing different coloured lenses in the camera, mixing colours and exploiting the inside of the camera.

I think her work looks like it could be simple however when you understand it and the processes behind it it adds another level. Her work is really interesting and I think be able to make this with an analogue camera is amazing. Some of her work makes my eyes feel a bit strange but I think that shows how detailed her work is.
